Based in mid Sussex I have 30 years of clinical experience working in the N.H.S. and educational
settings, and more recently in the private sector, with a wide range of
psychological difficulties. These include mood and anxiety disorders,
interpersonal difficulties, work and stress, childhood trauma, grief, relationship
issues, insomnia and eating distress. I have also worked extensively with
chronic illness, pain and trauma related to illness/health care interventions.
Having completed 7 years of full postgraduate training in several therapeutic models, I am fully accredited with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP, accred. member 090157), the Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapy (ACAT) and am an approved provider for WPA Health insurance. More recently I have completed parts 1, 2 (2023) and 3 (2024) of EMDR training with Sandi Richman.
I offer a warm and supportive space in which to explore long-standing emotional distress or more recent difficulties such as loss and transition, relationship breakdown, or work-related issues. By working collaboratively and creating together a ‘map’ of how the difficulties have developed and are being maintained, the therapy facilitates new insights into unhelpful patterns and can help you to explore alternative, healthier ways of living.
Currently I work with adults and young people over the age of 16 (depending on presenting difficulties and family/other support for the process).
I also provide clinical supervision, training and consultancy. Please contact me for further details.
